Florida’s largest flea market is on Highway 90

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Bargain shoppers, savers and treasure hunters gather on Highway 90 for Florida’s 275-mile yard sale, Pensacola to Live Oak: Flea Across Florida.

“Practically garage sale, just trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff,” said saleswoman Sheyna Weeks. “It remains quite busy.”

“I have clothes, I have things in store, I have an online business,” said fellow salesperson Jana Lawrence.

Vendors say they have people from not just across the state, but across the country.

“There was someone here earlier from Apalachicola,” Lawrence said.

“Actually, a guy from Illinois was here earlier,” Weeks said.

It’s not just clothing and jewelry being sold in Flea across Florida, some people are even selling more than animals.

This giant garage sale could do more than help people financially.

“I like making all that extra money, easy money actually,” Weeks said.

It also benefits small rural communities along Highway 90.

“You can tell them, you know, look, you can go to Lake Seminole, you can go to the park, and just little local places that could benefit from more people coming in,” Lawrence said.

“It brings in a bunch of people from all over, you see a bunch of different people coming from all over,” Weeks said.

Who knows, shoppers may even find a hidden gem or two on their scavenger hunt along Highway 90.
