Where can I buy legal weed in New Jersey when sales start on Thursday?

EDITOR’S NOTE: NJ Cannabis Insider is hosting an in-person business networking event on July 14 at The Asbury in Asbury Park. Tickets are limited.

After years of waiting, legal recreational cannabis sales will begin Thursday at locations across New Jersey.

So where can you buy it on day one?

Here’s what we know so far.

Of the seven alternative treatment centers (currently selling medical marijuana) approved to begin selling adult recreational cannabis by the Cannabis Regulatory Commission, six have confirmed they plan to begin selling at 10 stores on Thursday.

* Verano, under the Zen sheet banner, at its locations in Elizabeth and Lawrence.

* Area, at The Williamstown Botanist and The Egg Harbor Botanist.

* Go up, at his La Rochelle Park facility.

* Green Thumb, which uses the ASCEND banner with RISE Bloomfield and RISE Paterson from 6 a.m.

* Curafeuille, to Bellmawr and Edgewater Park.

* TerrAscend, which uses the Apothecary banner, in its location in Phillipsburg.

Below is a map of all New Jersey locations that sell medical marijuana, including those that won’t launch legal weed sales Thursday.

Recreational users will be able to purchase up to 1.0 ounce in a single transaction at these dispensaries.

On Thursday, the CRC authorized licensed centers to begin selling recreational cannabis with April 21 as the official start date. So far, the commission has also approved 102 conditional licenses for small growers and manufacturers, many of which have diverse owners. It could take up to a year for these operations to start selling weed.
